Grrrrrrrr. :( As I may have mentioned, there are disagreements on rolled vs folded. Only a monster would ever fold a playmat.

Maybe this is a merch opportunity to sell branded playmate storage tubes

And maybe there could be some warning text on the W23 pages for people who dont not to store em folded.

Tis true, only the most monstrous monster would fold mats!

I've got an idea for an accessory designed specifically for storing playmats. Just need time to work at it.

Is it a series of tubes? Because that's been done. It gave us the Internet.

You have monsters at W23*. My M6 and M7 arrived folded, but this was obvious from the shape of the box and I unpacked them quickly and store them rolled.

*Quite outside this context, that sentence should be far more surprising than it actually is.

Got mats M6 & M7 yesterday. They came packed with a set of 6 Hvy Tank minis as a bonus.

Mine too, I love those bonus tanks with W23 orders!

Lots of pretty (and rolled) mats just arrived!

Alas, I failed the bonus roll again — no tanks here.

It can arrive destroyed if it has been folded when the mailing company stacks a lot of packages and crushes your playmat.

It's an ongoing argument in the office. In my opinion, folded playmats are an abomination and only rolled playmats are acceptable. If stored flat, that is also cool, but shipping a playmat flat would be very risky unless it is in an indestructible container.
I was left with no choice but to fold the ones I brought back from FnordCon...no other way I was getting them into my bags. Thankfully it was just for a couple hours, and they had at most 5lbs of weight on them. Made it home fine, no creases.

But agreed...I don't care if it saves me money on shipping, I'll always go for rolled. I have had mats from other companies crease on me, and while it wasn't permanent it did take months of hanging from a broom-handle for gravity to straighten it back out.
