Transferral Potion + curse
Ok, couldn't find this one, and I'm a black belt at searching the forums...
Player A was fighting a monster and could not win. I offer to help for free because 1) I was -5 due to sex change and 2) I had a curse that said I could not get treasure on my next fight (I don't remember the exact curse name.) After I join the fight, another player added monsters, mischief, and mayhem until we could not win the fight. We used the Transferral Potion to move the fight to him. The question is: Did that count as my fight to remove my -5 and curse. We ruled no (I had a low level monster in my hand, anyway...) However, we couldn't find an official ruling. |

Re: Transferral Potion + curse
I'm pretty sure you ruled correctly, but I cannot find an official answer either :) The logic behind it is Transferral Potion erases your presence in the fight, so it's like you were never fighting at all. So you'd keep your -5 sex change and any "next fight" curses since you didn't fight.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure the ruling was correct. This also managed to actually get scenario documented in the forums.
Plus, we know how much Andrew and Erik love new Transferral Potion questions... |

Yes. Based on previous threads being in a fight, even very briefly without actually settling the outcome of the fight normally, counts as having been in a fight for the purpose of removing the sex change penalty or other similar effects.
Here's a quote from Clipper who is a reliable source for rules (the thread didn't even get an official response afterwards so this definitely stands): Quote:

Interesting. :) Although, I would say that just because a thread doesn't get an official response, you cannot assume that the powers-that-be agree with the response given.

Re: Transferral Potion + curse
Transferral Potion doesn't erase the previous fight, it just moves it to a new combatant. So your Change Sex penalty and your Curse would have been lifted.
