Name for an 80s Action/Superhero TV Worldine
So, as you might guess from the thread title, supposing there was a worldline with a local date in the mid 80s, populated by such heroes as Ralph Hinkley, Mark Harris, Steve Austin and Jaime Sommers, Walter Nebicher and his creation Automan, Michael Knight and KITT, the A-Team, et al, facing off against threats such as the megalomaniac Mr. Schubert, Fembots, the original series Cylons, and the Visitors from V. What name would this worldline be given? I'm thinking based on the preponderance of the source material, it might be Cannell-1 or Larson-1, since this is clearly a myth parallell corresponding to their collective corpus of work, and there is no clear POD.

Excelsior-2. :)
More seriously, I support Larsen for this kind of world. IIRC, they don't add the numbers until they discover a second worldline that fits the pattern.

Re: Name for an 80s Action/Superhero TV Worldine
I'm not sure I get the reference? If it's to the Expendable movie franchise, basically none of those actors are represented in what I specified, and I don't know that any of the series tended towards expendable characters.
I'm still torn between Larson and Cannell, since the two divergences most obvious to Homeline observers would be the Cylon invasion fleet (with Larson responsible for original BSG and Galactica 1980), and them being taken out by a team including a schoolteacher in a set of red magic jammies (Greatest American Hero created by Cannell). Since the alien invasion fleet is probably the largest divergence visible to the public, guess I'll go with Larson. |

I'd go with Cannell-1. Larson is a little too generic a name.
Also, so much of the iconic 80's shows was his. |

Re: Name for an 80s Action/Superhero TV Worldine
It was very nearly a 50-50 split between the two, really... why I had difficulty deciding. Of course, all I have to do to justify Cannell over Larson is say the first big hint the Infinity scouts get that it's a myth parallel is seeing the caped, red-clad superhero in action on TV news, before he engages the alien invaders and/or the scouts recognize the honestly somewhat generic saucer-shaped craft as Cylon Raiders.
