Re: How many IN gamers are goths?
Also not quilty of gothness. I detest the World of Darkness, and am far too asocial to be a goth. Angst, nilhilism, and existentialism rank high on my list of "avoid at all costs."
I do like black clothing, though that's not my normal wear, but that's the only trait I share with the modern "goths", as far as I can tell. ---Walter |

Re: How many IN gamers are goths?
I wasn't there when they sacked Rome...
Ahem. No, I don't think I manage to be very gothy. I like black, but the rest of the goth thing... I just don't grok it. That, and it seems counterintuitive to have a four-year-old and be gothy. It would seem to be difficult to keep up the appearance when someone has stuck happy-face stickers to your shirt, or the seat of your pants. Now I'm trying to imagine a goth Ofanite. It makes me giggle.

Re: How many IN gamers are goths?
Well, there's another intuition down the drain. I had a hunch that the whole demons vs. angels theme of IN would particularly appeal to the goth crowd. Apparently I was way off base. Either that or all the goth gamers got scared off by all the anti-goth posts. I do have another question, though, which I'll address in a new thread.

Re: How many IN gamers are goths?
I don't think I'd characterize any of the responses in this thread as anti-goth; nobody responding has been a goth, and some people just have different strengths of not-goth than others.
I've only ever known a few goth gamers, so while I'd be surprised if none of our nearly 1000 members is a goth, I wouldn't be surprised if the gamers-who-are-goths subset and the gamers-who-play-IN subset haven't yet intersected in the membership. As for me, I was never cool enough to be a goth. ;D

Can't say that anyone I've ever played In Nomine with has been a goth, and only two have ever worn a lot of black.

Re: How many IN gamers are goths?
I can't say that i've ever played with any of the modern goths, most of the players i've encountered were far to clean shaven with their hair high and tight. except me. no, i'm not a goth, i just hate shaving and i think my last haircut was six years ago. the few goth gamers i've met tend to go out of their way to avoid anything with any sort of religious tones to it.
