Re: Munchkin Quest 3!
Is Munchkin Quest Three still in the works? Is there any news or an update?

We had a playtest a couple of weeks ago that seemed to work a little better, but Steve and I haven't had a chance to sit down and go over the comments in detail. MQ3 definitely won't be this year, unfortunately, but is a strong contender for 2010 release.

Re: Munchkin Quest 3!
There are a few, yes. This set doesn't have as many cards as MQ or MQ2, though, so ONLY a few.

Re: Munchkin Quest 3!
I gotta disagree. Traps are extra bad wrongness, since you get hit with a Trap and then have to fight the Monster right afterwards. They should be pretty rare.

Re: Munchkin Quest 3!
I'm pretty exicted for MQ3 to come out. I really like the game and eagerly await new rooms, links, treasure, traps, monsters, and whatever else SJG comes up with. Hopefully, we'll see a new class or race; maybe both.

I hope there's some sort of new "mechanic" or "keyword"; something to add a new dimension to it.

Re: Munchkin Quest 3!
I think an interesting idea for a new link type would be the magic portal. There would be 12 links of this type total; 2 per player color. If only one link of a particular color were out, it would function just like an open hallway. If both links of a particular color were out, going into one would bring you out of the other. To prevent confusion that might arise otherwise, it may be prudent to have some sort of directional indicator on such links so as to indicate where exactly someone would go when coming out of a portal.
I'm undecided upon whether or not monsters would/could go through the portals. Right now my idea is that monsters of the same base color as the portal go through the portal; otherwise, they treat it as an open hallway. |
