Default Bestiary 4e?

I'm new to GURPS & new to this forum. I got ahold of the 3e Basic set, 3e Bestiary, 3e Fantasy, & 3e Magic recently & I like what I'm seeing. I am already wanting to upgrade to 4e & I see that most of these books have been updated to 4e except the Bestiary. Is it mixed with another book now?

Bestiary material has mostly been folded into the appropriate genre books.

Also of great note is gurps animalia, which is non-official but very good.

Search these fora and you'll find all kinds of good stuff, including a PDF they put together , Mailankas Thread on Monster Design and some spider stuff I did a while back.

Just for starters, there's classic monsters in Dungeon Fantasy 2, Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 1 and 2, and GURPS Dragons. GURPS Horror and GURPS Fantasy have good bestiary sections. Monster Hunters 3: The Enemy is more higher powered, but also dang good. And of course the entire Creatures Of The Night series, which is a dedicated bestiary series just like Dungeon Fantasy Monsters is.

That's just a light dusting.

There are also more-or-less realistic and/or domestic creatures in Basic and Low Tech Companion 3.

Didnt we have a 'round up' thread, where we cited all the Creatures in all the books like we did with templates and lenses?

Well, if not all of them, we cited many in this thread. This list is also available in a sortable format on the GURPS Wiki here.

Neither of those lists is complete. If you can add to the Wiki list, by all means, please do so.

Let me second Bruno's casual mention of Horror. It's fantastic for creatures, not just stats, but when and how to use each one.

The animals in Basic are very half-assed missing numerous (dis)advantages. They're only useful for statting combat effectiveness.

Chandly's GURPS TMNT is worth checking out as well.
