Default GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 13: Loadouts

Some like the shops, but
Between merchants and dragons
Me, I fear the first
— Some hack
After a dry spell for GURPS fans, e23 is proud to present GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 13: Loadouts, by Matt Riggsby, creator of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 8: Treasure Tables and GURPS Fantasy-Tech 1: The Edge of Reality. This one is for all the Dungeon Fantasy players who've complained that they can create a hero in five minutes using a template but need an hour to sort out his gear, and for GMs who've been caught flat-footed when the players asked, "What's on the evil cleric's corpse?" It offers ready-to-go kit: select from a few basic options, make some profession-specific choices, and you're done. There's even support for the big and small, so you can quickly equip everyone from pixies to ogres. And of course we've thrown in some all-new items of dungeon-delving equipment. As the shills like to say, "Now FASTER and EASIER than ever before!" Fortunately, supplies aren't limited.

Ok, so I intend to use Low-Tech for a DF campaign. The weapons aren't hugely different but the armor is. How much use is this book to me? How much extra work will be needed?

What you should do, I think, is to download the preview, which contains a page of actual sample content (a couple of the barbarian-related loadouts) in addition to the usual ToC and index. Look over the loadouts there and see how much work it is to convert whatever you need converted.

Yeah, having done this I'm still not sure if it's worth the work or not. :(

Great job guys! This will be immensely useful for groups on a time crunch, or for generating NPCs.

Thanks for this, it would never have occurred to me to do this... which is quite stupid of me really =S

Either way, that's now added to my collection too =)

Given the description of the Curator in Sages, it seemed the obvious bit of missing equipment. Perhaps I should have given it a bonus against scimitar-armed opponents.
