Everyone can laugh.

Stalin (or his senior officials, so wouldn't be crossing little Joseph, now) was conniving in the late 1940s and early 1950s to detach Manchuria and Sinkiang from their brotherly socialist state and add them to the USSR. Mao & Chou knew about this perfectly well and didn't like it. This contributed to the Big Split in 1959.

As someone once said, the Soviet Union was the only nation on earth entirely surrounded by hostile Communist states.

That's so wrong, it's almost funny.

Ever heard of 'client states'? That's what the Soviets created in Eastern and Central Europe. Yes, they failed with Yugoslavia, because of Tito. They became estranged from Enver Hoxha in Albania, after Stalin. East Germany, Poland, Czecheslovakia, Hungary, etc were all Soviet puppets for decades.

How much did the typical Russian love his Politburo masters?

Saying that 'hostile Communist countries' surrounded the Sovs strongly implies that the governments were hostile.

I think we got off topic a bit, now to us as example think of the clone wars in Star Wars if you have watched the cartoon series you would know that how a war could be prolonged.

Now like I stated before there is a cartel of international companies that want to profit off this war, but I want to also show what it like to have this ongoing war on the homefront.

Specially the anti German feelings,

LW

I might run a similar campaign, but from the german point of view, so I'm finding all this quite interesting. I'll hijack the thread a bit.
Assuming we're going with a somewhat delayed WW1 type deal, with a brief russian participation followed by a withdrawal and the creation of the USSR (which so far remains neutral), and a prolonged WW1 with Germany vs. France/Brittain (and whatever minor nations on either side), what would/could make either the USSR or the US join the conflict? And what side would the other nation take?

The thing about the companies who profit from this, is that fundamentally they have to be companies that aren't based in either side. Companies do not profit from having markets closed off from them, so that means the ones who really stand to gain, are the ones who are sitting off to the side ensuring that war never gets too hot, but never quite stops either, and somehow freely trading with both sides. The only countries I can see filling that role are the Americans and the Swiss. British and German corporations could of course be moving into the American market to use it to proxy trade with each other but it would have to fundamentally be the American political and business leadership that keeps mediating truces, stalling the negotiations, and then making sure the truces collapse before a final armistice can be signed. I say this not with any animosity toward the real United States, but just because because it's the only country big enough to do it, that has a hope of staying officially neutral.

As for the attitude of the public in the two rival factions, you could probably look to the Israelis and Palestinians for a model for that.
