So... Now, not only are cats deadly to the average commoner in d20, will they also be so in GURPS 4e as well? :-)

They still have ST 4. Let's assume that it succeeds with it's targeted attack to claw your guts out - that's 1d-5 basic thrust damage, +1 for claws and +1 for Brawling skill - 1d-3 damage. Hardly impressive. That's a maximum of 5 points (3x1.5). But that's the absolute max damage. A bite would do 1d-5 cut damage. So I think it'll still be safe to be around tabbies.

Unless they have cinematic skills, of course.

A cinematic cat who uses his Sumo Wrestling Springing Attack can do 8 points of knockback damage - enough to move a grown man 1 yard back and cause him to fall down. With a Flying Jump Kick he does 1d cutting damage - enough to cripple an arm or a leg.

You don't get a +1 for sharp claws (like cats have) - it just makes your punch or kick damage cutting.

It doesn't need to be cinematic for a freaked out large musclebound cat to knock down a full grown man braced for impact. I witnessed it from my chickensh*t but herculean Cerbee. Admittedly he was obese from improper care at the time, so sumo fits even more.

Or bobcats. The difference is sometimes largely one of personality. They can interbreed too, but you can't always tell when they have.

That includes Norwegian forrest cats which they belive is the origin of Maine Coon cats.

My Main coon is 20+ pounds is red/orange in color, darkly marked and demands food almost constantly. Of all the cats I've ever had, all the way back to childhood, I like his personality best. He's a big lovable clown...
