Mars Attacks And Discworld
Is there ever going to be a PDF for Mars Attacks or Discworld? I'm very interested in those books, but I make to a policy to avoid dead tree books like the plague.

Re: Mars Attacks And Discworld
It's apparently hidden somewhere in this thread: Here.
You'd have to dig through 30-ish pages to find it, apparently. I'm waiting for the GURPS Discworld PDF, myself. Already have the dead-trees version. Not interested in Mars Attacks, though.

Re: Mars Attacks And Discworld
As of two months ago, there were no immediate plans for releasing these two books in PDF:

Re: Mars Attacks And Discworld
Given the longterm digital emphasis for GURPS, I find the current position a little contradictory.
Also, most other RPG companies I buy from who use print runs rather than POD for physical copies sell physical and digital product simultaneously (eg Paizo & Frog God), or even in some cases use the PDF release for customer error checking before the final printing goes ahead (eg Cubicle 7 & Green Ronin). If the final decision from SJGames goes against selling PDFs of the physical books, I'll be a lot more reluctant to buy future physical releases. I use both formats, not just one or the other. |

Re: Mars Attacks And Discworld
As I understand it, both Discworld, and Mars Attacks are licensed properties, and a digital release is not part of the contract, as is often the case with licensed properties. Note that many of the unreleased works from 3E are licensed properties as well.

Re: Mars Attacks And Discworld
While AFAIK there hasn't been any word one way or the other about the rights to a digital release of Mars Attacks, there has been confirmation that they do have permission for a Discworld PDF.
