Hope this isn't a breach of rules to say, but old issues of Ares magazine can be found at archive.org in PDF format. I actually own physical copies of several, including this one, but they are handy to read and study for one's own game design. If you check them out, get the full PDFs, as the OCR'd versions are rubbish.

Yes, this is a great suggestion; and could be a standard feature section contained within the programmed adventures. I always felt the programmed adventures could naturally serve as a "self-guided tour" through new settings for TFT; all that was missing was the inclusion of the campaign material to keep the setting active and sustainable by a GM after the programmed quest had been completed.
