English version that matches Finnish translation
Hello,
I'm a translation student and I am currently planning on writing a paper on the Finnish translation of the original Munchkin. To accomplish this I will need an older version of the English game to match the Finnish one which was released in 2013 (I only own the more recent deluxe edition). I currently have a problem with figuring out which English version has the same content. The Finnish version does not have all of newer the card text changes (such as plutonium dragon telling you that you actually die, rat on a stick giving +1), but some changes are present (wizard needs 3 cards to discard). The rules version is listed as 1.6, December 2011. Simply looking at the changelog does not tell me when some of these changes were made, making it confusing to look for a matching English version. My question is if anyone knows which English printing this could be? |

It doesn't sound like any specific printing. My guess is they started working with a pre-2010 set and updated some, but not all, of the cards to match the 2010 changes (which had a rule version of 1.5). All of the changes you mentioned were made at the same time in the English game.
