Mining dump trucks in real life have very low fuel mileage.

A road train of supertrucks would be massive display of mass, armor, and firepower.

One AADA RASG mentioned a group who traveled in a long road train armed with multiple lasers. A supertruck version would be very interesting for campaign play.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Seeing a train of these things would make the most ardent bandit cycle gang quake in their banana seat.

Good as background fluff (and maybe a paper/mental exercise).

I suspect however it would be excruciatingly dull in a physical game.

Since CW:Tanks was excruciatingly dull, I suspect you're right.

What a magnificent splatbook this would have made.

_RASG2_ -- the "Desert Survival Vehicle". Basically an expy of the Landmaster from _Damnation Alley_ (the movie). NOVA had rules for Landmasters, IMSMC; I don't know where my copy of same is.

IF you find your copy of the Landmaster rules I would love to see them.
I'm a big fan of the Short Story, the Novella, and the Movie.

Not sure I would class a Landmaster as a Super Truck. I think they'd wind up with stats something like two big rigs joined back to back.

Wikipedia says the movie prop weighed about 10 tons. So, guess it would fall into the low end of the NOVA Super Truck article.

The url for the article on NOVA's website that contains Landmasters is:

ISTR that the Damnation Alley vehicles were modified RVs equipped with ATV capabilities.
