Any help would be appreceated.
Thanks.

I don't know much about Slenderman, but I imagine a truly dark version of the protagonist from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I'll write this up as a Triple Threat and post it next week some time - if you can wait that long.

I can wait. I'm planning ahead.
Your triple-threat posts are great.
Thank You.

Sure. You stumbled into one of my interests. I chased urban legends and stories when I was a kid. I'd hop onto a greyhound and ride it till I didn't know anyone and seek out local stories. Work doing whatever for money and sleeping outside or in the houses of kind locals.

I remember reading the thread where they came up with Slenderman. It was on the Something Awful forums around '08 or so. A definitive takedown would involve tracking down the guy who first posted the Slenderman image and creepypasta. That might make an interesting challenge if your party has any computer hacker types.

The guy's handle was Captain Havoc or somethinglike that.

Welp, as a pretty big fan of Marble Hornets I gotta say that a write up of the Ol' The Operator has defiantly got me a bit excited heh.

@Tinman: Though... on the other hand. Give that "he's" pretty much a eldritch abomination I don't think you really need stats for him. He has a motivation beyond human understanding, is pretty much proof against modern weapons and can bend time and space to his so I think he works more as something that you make sure your players feel the presence of and only every now and then have pop up and scare the every living crap out them then as a monster they fight. To that end the campaign should be more about unraveling the mystery of why things are happening (so be sure to get a hold of a copy of GURPS Mysteries heh) and the constant feeling of dread (also get a copy of GURPS Horror).

Also checking out the Marble Hornets Wiki wouldn't hurt

Yeah, I'll be using the legends as a sort of guideline - I'm assuming it's going to be some inscrutable being who's effectively a "boss" critter.

Edit: And now it's finished and queued for next week. I'll ping this thread again when it goes live.

I don't think an eldritch abomination thats on the level of Cthulhu is useful to my game. Ghostdancer's idea of a boss level monster is exactly what I was looking for. However, I was/am not sure where to start with him. Is he a spirit, a cryptid (like a chalky from horror), an undead? I have heard many variations...

I am excited to see Ghostdancer's write-up.
