Ah, I missed that rule, thank you.

How about using the new O6 features?

Sacrificial 1 squad overrun to damage the town, followed by a four point attack that will reduce it to rubble 2/3rds of the time. Then defense is only six.

Is this ODE 6? I don't see that?

It's certainly in the PDF version. And on checking, it is also in the hardcopy.

Look below the picture of infantry counters.

Found it, it was under the picture. I just didn't read far enough. So the defender groups them as they wish, the attacker chooses a target group (which may be from 1 squad to 3 squad depending on how the defender grouped them). If the attack is successful randomly roll for which squad if there was more than one.

Correct?

Regarding the "defenders group as they wish", it helped me remember the rule when I learned that Steve literally visualizes this as:

"these two squads are over here, in this corner, and get stacked defense. That other squad is alone, on the far corner of the hex, and defends on its own. Who do you want to shoot?"

:)

4? Getting a 1:2 on a D9 stack takes 5 LGEVs. If you're using terrain destruction rules you can rubble the town and do it with 3 LGEVs. Either way it's going to take a while.
