Timing questions
I have two timing questions that I think are all but the same about two cards:
Disaster! Zombie Plague and Disaster! Magnetic Poles Reverse Both cards refers to "in your next combat". Te first one: Zombie Plague. I "wait" until after the door was knock to know if the card will be a monster, the current player will win if that's the case, then he drew a monster and then I play the Disaster card. He said "This is not my next combat this is my CURRENT combat then this not applies right now" Yesterday something similar occurs: We are trying to prevent one player win and someone plays the Magnetic Poles Reverse as a last resource, the same came up "this is my CURRENT combat not the next one then I change sex but the -5 do not affect me" Sounds right at least the second time but I really don't know for sure. Lastly in the same game yesterday we know the game is over when the 7 seal is open and no one can "respond" to that, but a player has the card. "Close a seal" don't remember the name but said something like this: "if this card is draw face up play immediately otherwise you can play it ANY TIME. Close a seal I think this card CAN be played because of this: 1. One player plays "Prophecies of Nostradamus" 2. He wants to open the 7 seal because this way he wins 3. When a player "do something" all have the opportunity to "respond" 4. Elena responds with the above card to close a seal. 5. When the Prophecies effects resolves then he opens the 6 Seal not the 7 then the game continues. He even say. Well then you play your card and I didn't discard mine. She replies with "I only played because you want to end the game". Thanks a lot for the responses and good gaming...hunting...munchkin |

Re: Timing questions
Quick note for everyone else: these questions are about Munchkin Apocalypse, but the first timing question applies to all Munchkin games.

Re: Timing questions
Thanks for the fast response.
I will read to my players this part of the rulebook. I understand that rule about the 7 seal can't be closed unless the card specify; that's why Elena was closing the 6 seal, BEFORE the 7 was open. As I said sounds reasonable that when the player want's to open the 7 seal she responds to his action closing ANOTHER seal to force the game to continue. Again if this is wrong doing let me know why. Re: Timing questions
There is no timing mechanism in Munchkin allowing someone to interrupt one action to carry out another. You can't stop someone who is in the process of opening the seventh Seal in order to close the sixth.
