Favorite or most interesting Quirks
I thought this thread existed... but I can't find it so I'm starting it.
In light of my job in the customer service mines, I thought up this one today: Garbled on Phones (Broken Language Speech) * Or any other audio communication devices. Yeah, in some settings this might well be worth more, something like a full 2 or more points (call it 1 point per language), but for most campaigns, it'd peg it in at a Quirk. |

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
One of my players ran a PC that had Really Bad Dancer, and Delusion (thinks he's really good at dancing).

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
A few I've put on characters that I think made them just a little more interesting:
The gods hate me. The feeling is mutual. Chronic nicknamer. Indifferent grooming. Very self-conscious about scars.

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
One of my players want his next PC to look, sound, and act like Rebel Wilson. Oh, and she's going to be a car thief. I cannot wait to see how he quirks her.

From different characters:
Loves his rug Loves hockey - "the only good thing from Canada" [Edit: I was posting hastily and forgot to point out that these last two are from the same character] Always drinks with his off hand Hates to be told he has a spot on his tunic Last edited by Donny Brook; 12-11-2019 at 07:56 AM. |

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
From several characters:
Always wears something white (but doesn't realise it). Always regretting not taking a photo (sort of a verbal tic). Must never refuse a second request for aid (and so has become quite good at divining and solving underlying problems slightly before they cause real trouble, oddly). I think this shows my approach to role-playing, now I think of it. |

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
In one of my fantasy campaigns I made a NPC dragon with the quirk: Prefers hot chocolate over gold.

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
One that has achieved universal acclaim at various DFRPG tables is Kromm's quirk for Sir Godfrey Stephen Hauteville:
Shouts tactical advice, despite lacking education in the art of war (default Tactics is 7!). This is a quirk that just keeps on giving. |

Re: Favorite or most interesting Quirks
I love quotes and catchphrases. Most of my characters have at least one. My favorite thus far was a Halfling Barbarian who would routinely just throw his hands in in the middle of conversations and walk off declaring "Tall people problems!"
