There's a reason I've mentioned I'd pay to see those rules in print. Maybe Doug and Peter can write a Pyramid article and we can reap the benefits?

How does that work with the -1 to DX for every 2 CP inflicted? I'm having a hard time reconciling the two sections.

You're not really supposed to be "reconciling" them.

This is the same as the way healing is scaled for high HP - The rules use values for 1-19 HP creatures for healing everywhere. You scale the healing for high HP creatures as a separate step.

Same here, only its DX penalty and high ST.

My unforgivable sin in writing TG was not explaining the basic system more, with examples, right up front.

That Peter uses it for his DF campaign really tells you most of what you need to know about TG's place on the fun/complexity balance when stripped to its core

You know, Doug. I think we could condense this down more. At least somewhat publishable to Pyramid. You need to streamline it more me thinks (at least the copy I have).

So if a ST 12, DX 12 fighter deals 4 CP to a ST 25, DX 11 baddie, what are that foe's penalties to ST and DX for active control? What are the penalties if the big bad dude did 4 CP to the little guy instead?

At ST 25, you're looking at 5 CP for every -1 to DX, but still 2 CP for -1 to ST.

So 4 CP would be -2 to ST (ST 23, -1 to thrust, -2 to swing damage), and no penalty to DX, though one CP more would impose -1 to DX from 5 CP scored.

4 CP against ST 12/DX 12 would be -2 to both ST and DX.
