Default Whirlwind attack in Dungeon Fantasy RPG

I recall there is a Whirlwind Attack in GURPS 4e, but I am not finding it in DFRP. It is rather cinematic and is something depicted in fantasy videogames, movies, and novels. Does it exist in DFRPG? If not there, in DF?

It seems like an appropriate skill/technique for barbarians, knights, swashbuckers, martial artists, etc.

Maneuvers generally don't exist in DFRPG, though it's in GURPS Martial Arts. It requires an all-out attack and doesn't combine with extra attack, so it's of pretty dubious value.

I think you mean techniques, cause maneuvers are a thing in DFRPG. Exploits page 28...

For DFRPG just charge the full price to get the Technique up to snuff and call it a Power up

Whirlwind Attack 6pts

DF11 p10 has Cleaving Strike, which is similar.

Extra Attacks (Secondary Targets Only) is probably something like [15] per level.

Whirlwind Attack is in Basic 4e, p. 232. It is a technique. Requires Broadsword, Staff, or 2- handed sword. After reviewing there are lots of limitations. The rule regarding critical miss or enemy crit success on a defense is especially harsh for this cinematic technique.
Honestly I wouldn't use it RAW.

Needs some adjustment. I think I'd also allow it with a few other weapons like some of the large two handed axes

Here's a useful post from about 14 years ago from Kromm:

http://forums.sjgames.com/showpost.p...62&postcount=8

If you want to "re-write" Whirlwind, using Kromm's breakdown will help you price it. I'd suggest max negatives being -10 which means you would have to keep at least 1 of the negatives (as there are 6 of them and it's currently rated at -5). Depending on how cinematic you want it to be (as if it's not already! :-) ), you might charge 2 for every 1 removed meaning you could only remove 2 out of 6 really to get to -9. Just some ideas.
