Triple Threat: Tako-Oni
No, not Taco Oni - that's be some sort of culinary demon. This is a Tako-Oni, it's big, it's squid, and it's all about chowing down on you. If it were found in the Atlantic they'd call it a Kraken... UNLEASH THE TAKO-ONI! Doesn't have quite the same ring.

GURPS101: I’m How Smart? – What IQ, Will, and Perception Mean To My Players
Continuing the series on what GURPS attributes mean to me and my players. This time I'm talking about IQ, Will, and Perception (and what a powder keg that is). Check out Peter's and Doug's thoughts on the matter.

So, this character of mine would be just about the exact opposite of what youd have in mind then?

I don't mind values over 16. But I want a reason. If you're character is built as a world-shattering ivory tower genius. Cool. Crank it as high as your point value will allow. For that character, I'd (if you were in my game) persuade you to buy Natural Caster instead of just IQ. Saves you points and you still get to do what you intend.

2013: A Year In Review
Not pure GURPS content, but enough in that that I feel justified updated it here. A look back at last year and what it meant to me, both personally and professionally.

Session Recap: The Awakening - Casting Lots, Part I, Game Session 1
I started my contemporary weird horror campaign back up, this time the situation is less "epic" in scope, but no less important. When the son of a industrialist goes missing, the PCs boss asks them to help find him. Thinking it's just a "ordinary" job, they are quickly disillusioned as supernatural elements begin to creep in... How were 8 people killed without a sound? What does the manner of their death mean? Read on and find out... (This actually happened about two weeks ago, but I had some other stuff I wanted to post on my blog. I think I might start doing updates every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, but I don't want to flood the blogosphere.)
