I both did and didn't...my bank decided that between charging for the ticket and charging for the swag was the perfect time to flag suspected fraud and shut the card down, so I had to do two separate transactions.

We're less than a month out now. Any hints as to the event schedule? Mainly, I'd like to know if we can sign up to run games, or just play in them.

We are still working on a final schedule as we narrow down things like available staff, tables, rooms, etc. We hope to have one up in the coming weeks.

As far as running your own games, there will be a game library and open gaming areas set up, but there won't be anything official for attendees to apply to run their own scheduled game sessions.

I'm getting so excited, 3 weeks from now I'll be on a plane to Austin...the two things I really really want to do game-wise are give Car Wars 6E a shot and play Ogre with somebody who knows what they're doing; everything else is gravy.

Things worked out perfectly...I wasn't going to be able to go because of the cost of flights...almost $500 one way. Then a client at work said 'Hey, we're planning a big overhaul to our system...we'll pay to fly you down, have you shadow us the first Friday in April, and see our pain points firsthand'. One 'Hey, strange request...instead of flying me home, will you fly me to Austin instead?' later, and the convention was in 'Yes, I can afford this' territory.

MageSmiley / Putney: If you mean Super 8 South, I'm staying at the Quality Inn a couple miles away and renting a car; you're on my way to/from the con. If you're still looking for transport, I can save you guys at least a day's worth of Uber costs. My flight home is 'watch the sun rise at 30,000 feet' Sunday morning (only way I could get home before the kennel closes), but Saturday the world can be our burrito.

I ended up just renting a car after doing numbers and debating about trekking back to the hotel. Thanks for the offer - I'll see you at the convention!
