Could you post the full list of monsters and point values? It would be useful for people who want to use them as enemies, allies, or shapeshifter templates.

The monster sheet template I use is the format of the Dungeons Fantasy Monster http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=SJG37-0322

EXCELLENT format. I abuse the Class section A LOT! :)

I find it helps to look at the relevant skill levels and focus on how likely the combatants are to roll a successful hit (and dodge/block/parry). Also, compare the average damage they'll do with the DR of their opponents.

And traits with their values? I'd love to see how you constructed them.

Combat in gurps will never be predictable.

I was recently GMing a campaing in which a PC's henchman decapitated a very powerfull NPC with his first blow merely due to luck on the dices, I never really know where things are gonna go, whos gonna live, whos gonna die, and how it will play out, can only be thought out so much, players rarely are predictable.

Not factoring magic, and talking about Fantasy settings:

Weapon + Shield > Ranged > Two Handed Weapon > Dual Wield. Somewhat like real life, you could say, and definitely a fact in Gurps. Dual Wield is particulary *awful* for characters below 200 or 250 points and acess to the Extra Attack advantage.

Combat Reflexes, High Pain Threshold and Luck - the three advantages to rule them all! There are the only ones that seem to be must-have and that I have addressed in my game, Luck by far being the most problematic, and HPT, while not as powerful, is silly and annoyingly common in GURPS, as if every single guy ever to pick a sword has non-human threshold levels for pain...
