You mean concentrating on True Faith, maneuvering around to force turned undead away from tactically important points or wounded friends, and deciding when to let it down because you're needed to do other things is passive? It's not in my games.

Having an Ally show up and do it, is.

Well, difference of opinion then. I couldnt stand doing that. Especially since, as useful as you make it sound, that doesnt happen every fight, because True Faith is not useful against every type of critter. Ally is.

Where did this meme of "Anyone with an Ally doesnt do ANYTHING. They let the Ally do it" come from? Either the GM is running the Ally and you are running your PC, which means you are doing something and have 29 points doing something ELSE at the same time (more utility) or the GM gets lazy and lets you run the ally, only stepping in if you go bonkers, in which case you get to do two things a turn. This is NOT more passive folks, I dont know why anyone thinks it is.

Also, which allies get True Faith?!?

The obvious answer is some kind of priest or holy warrior. Where did this meme that all Allies had to be summonable supernatural creatures come from? :)

DF 5, and the cleric template (where summonable is there in the advantage). But I take your point.
