Default Infinite Worlds: Clio's Nightmares

I was just reading the lists of possibilities for next years GURPS books and noted Ken Hite's Infinite Worlds: Worlds of Horror. I don't know if anyone thought about it or it would be too late, but I'd love to see this called 'Infinite Worlds: Clio's Nightmares" as a fond remembrance of Ken's old halloween themed Suppressed Transmissions. Just a thought.

I second this suggestion.

I'm pretty sure that it's a) already in production under the current title and b) "Clio's Nightmares" has less general appeal being unlikely to be understood by people who didn't read Pyramid 2/don't know who the Muse of History was.

Yes, sadly it's true. Even most GURPS players weren't Pyramid 2 subscribers, and almost nobody can name the muses. Sorry, buddy.

Calliope = epic poetry
Clio = history
Melpomene = tragedy
Thalia = comedy
Erato = lyric poetry
Polyhymnia = choral poetry
Euterpe = flute playing
Terpsichore = dance
Urania = astronomy

That's from memory, so one or two might be inaccurate. . . .

Ah, but she had a better job in the old country.

That's very impressive. I only remembered six of the names and none of their associations (though I should have remembered that Terpsichore was the muse of dance; I just watched Topsey-Turvey a few days ago).
