Jurassic Park
Anybody done some dinosaur themed setting? Maybe even Jurassic Park? Or a fantasy setting with plenty of dinosaurs?

Re: Jurassic Park
We had a short lived Ice Age game based on the 3e supplement. Perhaps 3-4 months before the GM flaked?
I use dinos for Supers occasionally, either as a visit to a prehistoric world or as opponents transported from elsewhere. |

Re: Jurassic Park
So far, only an NPC who turned into a T. rex, only to get punched out by the party brick in my superhero game. o/`
But a trip to the Savage Land (Marvel's own Lost World) may be in the works in the future. I'm more inclined to adapt Dinosaurs than use Lands Out of Time for the dinos. Turns out Lands' dinos aren't cinematic enough, and Dinos' dinos have more ST/HP, even after adjustment to 4e.

Re: Jurassic Park
I did a game (turned into a comedy, very quickly) based on Ark: Survival Evolved. There were a lot of dinosaurs.
Almost every session had someone fail a DX check and do a face plant into dino poop. Found the thread (link to SJGames thread). |

My son is very interested in dinos but rather tends towards fantasy than science fiction. I pondered to to some mix of Jurassic Park and Dungeon Fantasy. Lost world in Middle Earth so to say. |

Re: Jurassic Park
I've given a bit of thought to a campaign inspired by Doyle's The Lost World, but decided that I love the Edwardian era too much to set a game in it and then spend the whole time in a lost valley far away from civilization.

Are there any GURPS stats for dinos to be found somewhere?

Re: Jurassic Park
A T-Rex featured briefly in one of my 3e games. Two PCs armed with Soviet-era submachine guns (PPSh-41s) took it down in a few seconds. The other PC had Herpetophobia and was too freaked out to fight.
