Star Munchkin: Software Glitch/Trap! Planned Obsolescence
I just purchased a second copy of the Star Munchkin core game, Version 1.3 to get a copy of Software Glitch, but much to my dismay it had Trap! Planned Obsolescence instead. The card list on your site says this changed with the 4th printing. I would assume 1.3 is version 3, am I wrong?

We increment the rules version number only when there's a significant change, not with every printing.

Is it possible Software Glitch could be re-released someday as a promo, sort of like how Scroll Of Secret Door Detection and Open The Vault were originally the Box Of Holding promos, but are now standard promos?

I'll at least put it on the idea pile.

The first three printings. It is VERY unlikely that you will be able to find one of those without going to a second-hand game store or an online auction site, and even then, I would be cautious. If it comes in a tuck box, then it's definitely too new to have Software Glitch.

Re: Star Munchkin: Software Glitch/Trap! Planned Obsolescence
The first three printings were either cardstock folders, shrinkwrapped with the card decks loose inside, or plastic clamshells. The first printing was definite a folder; I don't know when the switch to clamshells was made but it was around the time of the third printing.

Great, thanks Andrew.
I'll hunt out a photo online and then take it from there. |
