Glaciers, apparently.
And the Great Old One that sleeps at Antarctis.

Meh, just make something up anyway. Call it the Lost Legion of Persian Vikings of Zhang He, or summin' to that effect.

It would certainly increase the tourist traffic to Dinosaur, CO.
That's an actual place. It's located near Dinosaur National Monument.

It would be more scenic and interesting to locate it somewhere along the Colorado River, but that's so well surveyed and explored (because so many people depend on it), that it would be hard to hide anything, there.

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
At MIT there's a 26-year old milk cartoon that has become a sort of mascot.
The students have negotiated a treaty with it in case it grows sentient and tries to take over the world. So... do you need a villain for your Monster Hunters campaign?

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
I'm late to this one, but David Tennant was using the real skull of Tchaikowsky when he performed Hamlet. (Tchaikowsky had willed it to the Royal Shakespeare Company for this purpose.)
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...rformance.html Now I'm wondering what skull would be the most appropriate for a performance of the King in Yellow... |

The actor's own skull, of course.

Re: Real-Life Weirdness
Reminds of an episode of some spooky TV series. A cutthroat actor cheats his way into some odd casting for Hamlet. The twist being that it was all done by the cliched escaped lunatics from the asylum who wanted proper authenticity. The role was for of course Yorik.
