Default "the singularity!"

Hello guys,

I'm a little bit confused about "the singularity!" seal card

Does it mean everyone discard all cards in play (even class?), starting with the player who opens the seal and goes clockwise or does it affect only the player who opens it ?

After that, everyone goes up a level, including the one who opened the seal, right ?

And can its continuing effect prevent using one-shot items to help other players in combat ?

Thanks in advance

Seals always affect all players.

Right.

No. "Helping" means joining in combat, not just playing cards.

Hi we had a game last night and the singularity seal was opened and all cards were discarded as per instructions, however i had just died before the seal was opened on the next players turn.

Does this mean i dont redraw cards untill my next turn or follow suit with everyone else and draw at the sametime?

Or get to draw with them and again on my turn as per the rules of dying?

The rules are clear: "Dead players do not draw cards for any reason." You would draw on your turn, using the normal rules for Death.

I have to disagree with Andrew. If the next player was the one to open the seal, according to the rules the dead character reappears at the start of the next player's turn (can only not draw cards while dead). If you are now alive, you should draw the cards for the singularity, and the ones for death at the start of your next turn.

I missed that detail -- if the seal was opened on the turn after you died, then Frodo is correct and you would participate in the Singularity madness, and THEN draw eight more cards at the start of your next turn.

And then enjoy being a target for all the other players for the rest of the game. :-)
