Wolves really, really don't fight that way. Were you trying to have them go down like a plane with one wing, or would you like some tactical advice?

Another game log. Not much wilderness threshing, as they were on the road most of the time.

They got their butts kicked today. And I'm asking my few readers to say what should happen next.

Sounds like these guys got screwed by a couple of critical failures at key moments. You should probably advise them that this is something a low level of the Luck Advantage is really good for.

So, the team bit off more than they could chew and got captured. First thing, do the roll to see if Anêr's right arm is permanently crippled or not; this will probably affect whether he wants to retire the PC or not since he's a combat guy and it's a combat-focused game. If his player decides to retire but the others want to continue, I suggest that you let the captors sacrifice him in big, dramatic, fashion, played for maximum melodrama, before letting the PCs try to escape. As you pointed out, their captor is a Paranoid Loner. Would he trust guards who might be bribed, seduced, or otherwise corrupted with his precious sacrifices? Of course not! They can't be trusted! That's why the PCs are thrown into a dungeon guarded only by traps and puzzles, perhaps after a villainous monologue about his future plans mwahaha.

I'm not seeing the quest in that second part...
