Using the Take me take me card

I was wondering if it's legal to use the Take me take me card to get myself in a battle (in order to sabotage it of course) where mine and the main fighter's total combat strength are still not enough to beat the monster or it's irrelevant whether we can beat the monster or not?

The only requirement is that the other player be eligible to ask for help. In other words, he must be losing the combat without a helper. What you do once you're the helper is irrelevant. Nowhere on the card does it require you to fight to win.
