Default Barons of Fate, 15thC

Kronos' Barons have a broad knowledge of a given century, equivalent to having read the newspapers - which is a bit of a problem for centuries before the invention of the newspaper.

However, currently reading a biography on Columbus' son, who created the equivalent for the 15thC by collecting the broadsheets that were pasted on the walls of major cities of the time, and binding them into books - and these collections are referred to as being the equivalent of newspapers.

So you can add flavour to a Baron specializing in this century by having him refer to an event by referring to these broadsheets - which can be anything from Luther's theses to advertisements to doggerel insulting the local bigwigs.

Nice. And those sort of broadsheets go back a long way, even before printing was common. Rome had the Acta Diurna, a daily gazette that was carved on stone or metal and posted in public places to announce births, deaths, court news, etc. (That said, that particular example is well before the Prince of Fate is active, but you get the idea, I'm sure.)

Indeed I do. Very nice. If you were inspired/foolish enough to bring that up while playing a demon of Fate in one of my games, Kronos would inform you that reassembling the Acta Diurna etc for a century was now your task, and success would result in you being the 1st baron possessing that century :)

There are also letter collections... much correspondence was bound into volumes Usually by side-stitching. Some of it was scraped and reused.

One can recover the lost images with good multispectral imaging... or a suitable song.
