Default Another question about the Jade Cube of Karma

The card states that the cards drawn are "face up", so my group has interpreted that you draw them from the discards.

My interpretation is that you treat them like party treasure; they are drawn from the door and treasure decks, but are shown face up for all to see.

Which pile are they to be drawn from?

You are correct. A "Face up" draw is taken from the regular draw-piles, but shown to all the players. If the cards were to be drawn from the discards, the card would say so.
