Default Wandering monster

hello everyone, here is my question, if my friend decides to run from a monster, can i use wandering monster to make him roll the dice for two monsters ? or the only way to use wandering monster is that my friend chooses to fight the first monster ?

thank you in advance !!!

Once the player has looked over his options and decides to Run Away from the current combat, the time to add new Monsters is over. Before that decision has been made, you can, however, add more Monsters to the combat.

let me ask this plz so it will be more clear to me, so you are tellin me that when the other player puts down on the table the first card that he opens from the deck and lets say that card is a monter then i can immediately use the wandering monster card and add another monster to the table even before he decides to fight the monster or run away from it ?

He is fighting the monster as soon as it appears. If he doesn't think he can defeat it, he can choose to Run Away, but that doesn't mean he wasn't fighting the monster before he made that choice.

so that means, before he rolls the dice to run away, i can use wandering monster ???

im really confused on when can i use the wandering monster card or when i can't use it.

we had an argument with my friend because i put down the wandering monster card with a monster attached almost at the same time when my friend rolled the dice to run away, and she told me i can't do that. so can i, or what ? (she rolled the dice to avoin another monster, i just wanted to add a second one)

Once your friend has said "I am running away," you cannot add another monster. Until that point, your friend is in combat and you can add another monster.
