Re: Fae magic as powers
So, thinking about this a bit, if I think my leg has been chopped off, but I don't take damage (which is cool, by the way), what is the "bite" to the bark. For instance, if I believe I am dead from my injury, do I fall unconscious, do I die, or do I just "wake up" from my delusion and see that you've bested me?
I am wondering if instead of affecting HP that you don't make these effects affect a different stat or something. Like, affects Fatigue Points or some such. If you do that, then you may also have some other options. Maybe you can make everything a Power using GURPS Powers. Every Advantage has the Affects FP only limitation and maybe the Talent then becomes the measure of their strength in their magic. You probably already said that. I'm just spitballin' here.

I'd probably model it by Afflicting people with some kind of pain - Moderate, Severe, Terrible Pain or Agony.

Cotard delusion? The mental illness of believing you're dead.
