Default Gun skills defaults incomplete

So far as I can tell, the Guns (Pistol) and Guns (Rifle) skills in the GCA data files do not default from their respective Beams skills, and they should do so at -4. The Beams skills do default correctly.

That would be because neither the write-up for the Guns skill nor the Weapons Tables in the Basic Set or Ultra-Tech actually give a default from Beam Weapons to the Guns specialties.

Ah, but the Beam Weapons write-up (B179) does:

In settings with both beam and projectile weapons, the Pistol and Rifle specialties of Beam Weapons default to the similarly named Guns specialties at -4, and vice versa.

It certainly would've been nice if this was repeated under 'Guns', but there you go.

I thought it odd that the defaults weren't both ways.

More than nice, it's really a piece of errata as I see it. In particular, it should be listed on the weapons tables like any other skill default.
