Use of the trojan card
Is it possible someone could please clarify use of the trojan card?
If I defeat a monster, and someone plays trojan - does this count as a separate combat? My understanding is that since it requires the target to be collecting treasure (having defeated the enemy in question) playing trojan would require a new set of calculations and thus a fresh combat (obviously without one-shot bonuses & detractors from the previous combat). IE: if I narrowly defeat a monster but someone plays trojan I don't have to beat the original monster *and* the trojan monster... right? |

Re: Use of the trojan card
I am absolutely sure that you are correct in that it is a separate combat.
Here's what happens: You beat the monsters, discard all cards from the combat, and then start to deal treasure. They play Trojan Horse, which is a new combat. I also would like part of this clarified. Does this have a different helper?

Re: Use of the trojan card
If Trojan Horse is played with a Monster, then the combat with that Monster is a brand new combat, with nothing from the previous combat in effect*. You go up the level(s) for winning the previous combat, fight the new Monster (with whatever the other players can add to it), and if you win, you get the level(s) and Treasure from the second combat. There is no Treasure from the first combat because of Trojan Horse.
* There is one exception I can think of that I won't discuss at this point, since it involves multiple advanced topics we won't be discussing in the 101 forum. Last edited by MunchkinMan; 09-10-2015 at 08:34 AM. |
