Secret Identity say on a 1-3 you're safe. On a 4-6 the trap is effective.
In this case, the Chicken on Your Head is good. Yes?

may be card can be modified to make it the less - the worse?

I moved this from the Munchkin 101 forum because it's a post that goes beyond that forum's mandate: Answering basic questions from, mostly, new players. It's not for requests/suggestions for card changes to meet your expectations.

As for your concern: There are other cards where Curse! Chicken On Your Head is helpful. Changing multiple cards to prevent weird or unexpected interactions with one card has proven, in the past, to be undesired. So, for now, don't worry about it too much. Just like Death can be a boon, so can the occasional Curse.
