Default Rounding

If someone has DR3 and is attacked with an armor divisor attack, does his DR become 1 or 2? In other words, how does rounding work for such things? I read the section on p9 of the basic book but I'm not sure which way to round still.

Default Re: Rounding

see Armor Divisors and Penetration Modifiers (p. B378): "Round DR down. Minimum DR is 0."

so DR 3 vs divisor (2) becomes DR 1

Basic Rule of Thumb: "Always round in the direction the screws the players."

Both players and their opponents have DR. Always rounding down screws the players when they get hit, but benefits them when they hit their opponents. The only way to always screw the players would be to round in different directions depending on the target.

Basic says round down, so round down it is.
