The amusing take in this is for delvers on a budget to buy ye olde wooden sword with Staff on it for the sole purpose of having a 'magic' weapon

Do temporary spells make a weapon 'magic'? For instance a sword with Continual Light or Flaming Weapon cast on it

That'd be up to the GM, but I'd say "No." It need needs to be permanent magic (i.e., enchantments).

I'd say yes, since the game world it's modeling lets you do just that. There are plenty of D&D spells that just turn a weapon magic and let it bypass DR.

That's part of the advantage of having a wizard in the party instead of just a bunch of warriors =)

Extreme Regeneration is [150] normally and recovers 100% of HP every second. Your numbers indicate Bane: Magic is -20%, +1 is -15%, +2 is -10%, and +3 is a Quirk. That works out to [120], [128], [135], and [149], respectively. If you need the beast to be even more resilient, toss on some IT:DR and/or DR with the same Bane.

I'm polishing up my sequel to Metatronic Generators next week - if you people want anything included in that system - now is the time to tell me.

A few random thoughts about converting a classic form of RPG defense to GURPS.
Man those seem expensive. In the world of D&D5e you can get "resistance" which is half damage or "immunity" which is no damage or "vulnerability" which is double damage.

There is no other way besides DR to model thisin GURPS? I get that as a GM I can just add this to a monster and not worry about the points, but that does generally limit it to foes and NPCs. At those costs, I can't see a PC often taking such an ability.

I could see PCs taking it!

My experience shows Vulnerability X - where X is valuable loot, is very popular!

It should be. You're essentially ignoring damage. Remember, GURPS doesn't do absolutes. Because absolutes in RPG terms are essentially infinite and infinite anything costs infinite points.

Give the source material, I doubt a PC would be able to take this at all really - not in DF anyways. I just put it there for GMs who might want such an option. Also remember that monsters don't have points or use them. They have the abilities the GM gives them and that's it.

I made comments about alternatives to DR which might feel better. But immunity to damage isn't possible.
