It depends on the wording of the monster. If it says you cannot get bonuses from Items, then you can use the Illusion power. If it says "no other bonuses," then you cannot.

This is the first time I've seen these new cards. I don't see the -1 roll to runaway for Halflings and Gnomes anymore. Are those gone?
