Invisibility potion: $1500, automatic success for anybody, lasts an hour w/o fatigue costs.
Invisibility scroll: $550, requires a wizard, a casting roll, and 3+1/turn fatigue. Wizard who knows Invisibility: $200 for one week's dungeon dive. Can maintain the spell for about ten seconds before going weak. Invisibility item: $6500, costs 1/turn to maintain. Self powered Invisibility item: $65000. Hand this ring to your halfling and tell him to go for the dragon's eyes.

The prices don't line up either way.
The scroll of Revival costs $1,250, but you need to provide your own 50 ST and make the DX roll. The potion of Revival costs $65,000. That is quite a bit more. Also includes an ingredient that some civilized areas would ban (a fresh humanoid brain). It seems to me the scrolls are overpriced when it is a low IQ spell and underpriced for the high IQ spells (IQ 17+). |
