Invasion of the Hawfax

This is the first in a series of posts about the setting 'Invasion of the Hawfax'. Its a reasonably hard science set in the turmoil caused by peaceful arboreal aliens settling in the amazon in 1894.

I hope you enjoy the setting.

When I clicked on the Invasion of the Hawfax link, I got a 404 not found message.

Same here. Of course, I'm currently adventuring in that world, so I shouldn't be peeking anyway. :)

Thank you for pointing that out. Its fixed now.

Edit: Rocket Man, if I had a problem with you reading it, it wouldn't be public. Go right ahead.

Costs ER as a Cost Reduction

This is a system to build costs ER as a flat discount to your ability rather than as a percentage discount. It also allows for great flexibility in how long your ability last and in building custom ER pools.

Its back up, because I don't think I'll be making it into a pyramid after all.

I hope you find it useful, and feedback is particularly welcome on this one!

This is *quite* clever, Eric. Not how I would have gone about it, but it works. The table is an utter mess and took me a few minutes to process, but still, very clever.

Thank you very much. Any suggestions on how to make the table more readable?

Maybe make it an image and upload the image? Clearer examples would help as well - I'd spell it out for monkeys on the first one you give for example.

Looks fine to me, reading on a desktop.
I had to read the examples to get how you were doing the cost reduction.
Maybe redo the opening bit to include a simple example.
But frankly I like it a lot and wish you had published it in Pyramid.

Death Magic as a Power

Dark Lords are famous for raising corpses, but they're just as famous for killing with dark magic and a thought. Or draining the life out of victims. Or using torture magic. This post expands the dark side of my magic as powers series.

I hope you find in useful!
