Default PDF Challenge Mix and Match (66 Combos)

Recently, a whole bunch of us got a bundle of 12 assorted PDFs, across a lot of different genres. Gurps lets you mix and match, pulling many supplements together. What sort of Game do you get by combining just the 12 PDF's from the challenge?

I've given each of the 66 two-PDF combination a number, based on the order each PDF was unlocked. Help me fill out game ideas in which you use both supplements. If you've got a great alternate idea to an already listed number, give it a letter.

Combination 1a: Tricked-Out Camels
GURPS Action 6: Tricked-Out Rides and GURPS Hot Spots: The Incense Trail

In which wealthy breeders of camels guide their caravans through the desert and their fortunes through the politics of the kingdoms. Breeding, trading, and racing prize livestock are an important part of their fortunes and lives. Tricked-Out Rides mainly contributes it "Available in Many Models" chapter. Yes, It involves applying Cost Factors meant for cars to camels. Also, the game runs on the action frame work, with chases, complementary rolls, and a cinematic tone.

Combination 1b: The Race for Iram
GURPS Action 6: Tricked-Out Rides and GURPS Hot Spots: The Incense Trail
A team of action heroes and archaeologists search for Iram and its fabled supernatural treasures, racing against rivals with possibly sinister motives, amid the backdrop of a civil war.

In addition to Tricked-Out Rides and Incense Trail, this game can make good use of mercenaries and RPM. I'll probably bring this scenario up again.

Some of these seem borderline impossible to combine (considering that a good number of them are just adventures, and several are strongly tied to specific, contradictory genres). But I could try a few. Does the order matter at all?

Make sure to get the right number, but go right ahead! I'm hoping for some help. Thanks!

The pdfs are surprisingly difficult to combine in some cases, which is why I'm doing them in pairs instead of randomly selected triples, as has been done in the past. On the other hand, limitations can breed creativity...

A highly skilled crew is employed to test out experimental new starship designs. One of the galaxy's major ship manufacturers, Tomorrow Rides, pays them to explore new worlds and test out their vehicles capabilities and safety.

Template Toolkit 3: Starship Crew and GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 21: Megadungeons

Once, an immense, physics-and-sanity defying creation of some elder race for whom tech level 13 was full of amusing trinkets. Wrapped around a single lone star in a near-empty region of space; the matter of dozens of stars, over a thousand attendant planets, tens of thousands of Oort Cloud objects, and countless interstellar miscellany went into constructing this monument to a species whose past existence is now the merest trace of a whisper of a rumour.

All except for the physics-and-sanity defying wreckage and shattered ruins of a structure light-hours across.

Now it is the haunt of mercenaries, pirates, scholars, small civilizations, madmen, refugees, ancient mechanisms still struggling to fulfill some arcane purpose, rogue defence mechanisms, and worse. And it is to this nigh-endless ruin that your crew of mercenaries, pirates, scholars, madmen, refugees, and/or other have come.

With good luck, you'll be able to pay off your starship, and retire young. With bad luck... well, you won't have to worry about all that debt.

A stalwart starship crew has to face eldritch horrors in order to save a planet from destruction.

(I was going to type "a few years back", but the Wiki link informs me that film was from 1997. I will now go face the eldritch horror of the inevitability of inexorable time and mortality, or perhaps just avoid the question by trying to think of some interesting combos of PDF Challenge titles.)

My two are here: 56. GURPS Template Toolkit 3: Starship Crew and GURPS Action 6: Tricked-Out Rides. That's actually one of the easy ones. It's basically the adventures of Han Solo and friends aboard the Millennium Falcon, with its jammers, concealed cargo compartments, pop-out weaponry, and souped-up hyperdrive.

Combination 2a) Offroad on Atoep
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Adventure 3: Deep Night and the Star and GURPS Action 6: Tricked-Out Rides

An extra-solar object has been spotted, this time on the most improbable of trajectories, passing astonishingly close to earth. This path, along with some very usual readings, have convinced many that this object is artificial. Its traveling quite quickly, but plans have been rushed to place a manned lander on this object, named "Atoep".

With how quickly the object is speeding through the solar system, the time to carefully build custom equipment is not an option. An off-road vehicle will be hastily sealed and loaded with oxygen tanks, and landed on the object with its crew.

Their time is limited by their supplies and the speed of the object. They need to figure out what this thing is, and hopefully make peaceful contact with it.


When they land, the mysteries only deepen, with a breathable atmosphere and strangely human whispers.

Atoep is probably not nearly as malevolent in this version, and the DF monsters should be de-emphasized in favor of the automated systems and hostile terrain. The entire object should be bigger, with longer passages and distances to travel, and passages the vehicle can fit through.

By default, Atoep is some sort of space probe, hurtling from planet to planet and system to system sampling the local life forms through its portals. It could be more sinister than that, but simply grabbing a couple thousand humans from across the world and absorbing them into its memory banks is probably threatening enough.

This scenario could possibly cross over into megadungeons.
