Default Turning VS Demons

Turning (p. 21 of Adventurers) says it does not repel most demons. That means there are some that it can repel, but there is no mention of how to tell what demons are possible to repel.

The True Faith advantage it is built on from Basic says it works on vampires and demons. The standard DF line says it works on undead and evil spirits. Is there some really easy way to tell what Turning should work on in DFRPG via some monster trait?

Yes, it works on the undead and whatever else creatures whose description specifies that it works on them.

There aren't any other creatures that list it works on them in the Monsters book.

Monsters p.4 covers this.
Quote:
Turning Undead: A hero who has Turning may use that against any undead being labeled as “truly evil” – and possibly against weaker demons designated by the GM. See Adventurers, p. 21 for details.
In other words, it's pretty much just up to the GM.
