Also, utterly unrelated, I see that people's sigs have links... how? The edit signature page says BB code and html isn't allowed.

I suspect it lets you use BBcode after some threshold number of postings. I can and have done so in my sig, but didn't try that until I'd made a lot of posts.

That's an anti-spamming measure. It unlocks after you make a few posts; I don't know the exact number, but it's slow.
