Default Grappled at Reach 1

So typically being grappled means you can only use "C" weapons. But if you're grappled by the neck from the front at reach 1, can you use reach 1 weapons?

A long armed grappler could bring you into reach C or they could not. I think this depends on the situation.

If they are holding you at arms reach and you want to attack their body, then this is an edge case that probably needs a GM call in each case.

The entire nonsense surrounding Close Combat is... nonsense.

There is no justification for not being able to use longer Reach weapons just because you are in a CC (Grapple follows the Close Combat rules, which is where this nonsense originates).

Okay, hang on. There is one justification, that is that you are fighting in close against a foe who is in Close Combat with you... however... as you've shown, that is not always the case.

I've already house ruled this one to use rules from outside of DFRPG, specifically from GURPS Martial Arts (Long Weapon In Close Combat pg 117).
