Default 2 combat scenarios: how do they play out?

Hi all,

Need some help in these sort of situations. Checked the rules, this board, and the FAQ, but unless I'm missing it I'm not seeing where it's addressed.

1) If you successfully use your D10 power-let's say a warrior for example-and then later in the combat forfeit your warrior class, is the bonus granted from the D10 roll (+5 in this case) now void?

2)Suppose you're a cleric fighting an undead monster. You roll two dice in combat since the monster is undead, but then something happens that forces you to stop being a cleric, do you take one of the dice away even though it's already rolled?

Thanks!

No. Once you receive that bonus, it's yours. You cannot ditch the Warrior class and play another one and try for a second bonus, however.

Since rolling the dice is the last thing you do in combat, this is an impossible scenario.

Thanks Andrew. But in the second scenario, wouldn't it be possible for a monster enhancer to be played after the dice are rolled that could change the outcome of the battle? (the +5 normally, +10 vs cleric enhancer comes to mind)

No, you can only play cards that affect the dice themselves. Modifiers can no longer be played once the dice are rolled.

The rules are extremely specific about this:

The point is this: Once you roll the dice, you can't change the conditions of the combat, only the roll results. So far, I can't recall any cards that can be played after the rolls that don't affect rolls, but I'm wiped. . .
