Default Pyramid 3/29 Psionics

If there is meant to be an official version of this thread please delete this one!
Meanwhile, I've only skimmed 2 articles but love it more than any previous Pyramid. All because of:
Random Psionic Tables by Antoni Ten Monrós;
Eidetic Memory: Magic as Psi by David L Pulver

Two campaigns boosted in one magazine.

I'm glad you liked the Random Psionic Tables. It was something that I though about when I read Psis. I'm really interested on how are you going to use it. Personally, the main use I had for it was to re-create the feeling of old school RPGs that allowed random generation of powers, yet keeping with GURPS beautifully crafted system. Combine it with the templates in Psis, and you've got nearly instant characters. Now, I plan to to use it for Monster Hunters, as Rev has stated that you can substitute the simplified psi system in MH with full flown psi.

Use it to redefine the effects of artifacts in the Warehouse, esp. the Albemarle Dictionary :)

my intentions were much more mundane: post apocalypse mutation psis... But the idea of a random selection for new players is so appealing. As m-p article mentions, powers are costly, so give free powers out but randomly = Psi's are Supers (genetic mutant monsters or saviors? morality test)

As for the maigc=psi bit - well, that's later in the same timeline and I've been bumping my head against the (now non-existent) conundrum for a while. I'd actually started down the dump-psi & use magic path. Darn, just change the names ROFL genius.

And finally getting some time to read more, I discover Steven Marsh has covered this in Random Thought Table - give out random powers and don't tell the players they have them.

I precognitively sensed you would find it useful...

I like the article too, but for me, the best part is the wizened man's trigger phrase for his wand... Latin makes everything work better :)

I need to get it printed out to fully enjoy it. But the issue looks fun!
