That wss my thought, but the IQ threw me; there's no way Ace Ventura is that smart. Frankly, he'd be struggling to make a 10.

He is remarkably skilled and knowledgeable for a dunce, and not just about animals. I think his "stupidity" is better framed in terms of disadvantages, especially of the odious personal habit variety.

Ace Ventura, despite his behavior didn't strike me as "dumb", at least not less so than a typical person (compared to, for example Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber). He honestly seems to know quite a bit and can be perceptive and an able detective. His behavior seemed more like personality and emotional issues than lack of intelligence, IMO (Well, and the movies being comedies, if course). He's a more a weirdo than an idiot, IMO.

Though I suppose you could drop is IQ to more average levels and raise his skills. That seems to be general sticky point with GURPS.
