Some questions about the Soldier skill

It doesn't seem to be the more social parts of being a professional military man, though - that's presumably Savoir-Faire (Military)...?

Also I seem to remember one rule somewhere saying something to do with packing (I think) could be handled with either a Soldier or IQ-based Hiking roll... I don't remember more, sorry!
